⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped at Colonial Cafe in Elizabeth City, NC, and I’m glad I did! I had the Dirty Bird breakfast with local sausage, crispy taters, and the kind of gravy you just don’t see much anymore—thick, flavorful, and loaded with chunks of sausage. Absolutely delicious. Perfect little hometown spot and an amazing stopping point on the way home from the Outer Banks. Highly recommend!

There wasn't too many customers, mostly elderly people. The people who take your orders are really friendly. I ordered the shrimps and grits, it looked great and smelled great but it taste bland. They gave me more seasoning in a small cup and that helped but I ended up getting a shrimp shell in my food, I didn't let anyone know because I already felt like I bothered them enough. This is a nice place to go when you want breakfast!
